Preparing students to thrive in the age of AI
We teach middle and high schoolers how technology really works, through strong fundamentals and hands-on projects.
Built by an engineer and a robotics parent
Our founder, Dr. Tao Wang, is an AI and robotics researcher whose teenager loves robotics too. She noticed that school teams focus on building and competing. As a result, students rarely learn the physics, electronics, and code that make their robots work.
The New Infinity fills that gap. In small teams, students learn why each part works, then use that understanding to engineer smarter solutions.
Questions our students learn to answer
- Why does a motor behave the way it does?
- How do you slow it down, or reverse it?
- Why does a faster robot get less stable on a turn?
Then they use the answers to build better robots.
Tao Wang, PhD
Dr. Wang is the founder and CEO of The New Infinity. She is an AI and robotics researcher and former engineering leader, and she designs every program and leads every session.
Her career spans two decades in AI and robotics, including 12 years building AI at Apple and Adobe, where she led engineering teams. Before joining Apple, she spent nearly five years at Purdue University as a researcher and faculty member. She earned her PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, specializing in reinforcement learning under Michael Bowling, Dale Schuurmans, and Rich Sutton, winner of the 2024 Turing Award. A graduate of the Stanford GSB LEAD program, she combines deep technical expertise with a mission to empower the next generation of talent. From September 2025, Dr. Wang volunteered with the Saratoga High School VEX robotics club, where she served as a parent mentor. She is a certified VEX V5 Scorekeeper Referee for the 2026–2027 season.
