Info session recap

Thank you for joining us on October 25

Thank you to the families who came to our free info session in San Jose. If you missed it, here’s the short version.

Reserving is free. Families who reserve now form our founding cohort, and nothing is paid until registration.

Dr. Wang introduces herself at the October 25 info session, with robot hardware laid out on the table
Our October 25 info session: real robots and test equipment on the table.
In one hour

What we covered

  • A hands-on question. How do you know if a robot’s battery is good? Students measured it with a multimeter, then learned why the number alone doesn’t tell the whole story.
  • How every project works. Students follow the engineering design cycle: define the problem, design and understand, build and test, then improve.
  • The three levels. Level 1, Exploration: build and drive a robot. Level 2, Accelerator: teach the robot to drive itself. Level 3, Adventure: solve a real-world problem.
  • The founding cohort. Eight students per level, in teams of four. Level 1 meets Sunday, November 15, 2026, 1–5 pm. Level 2 is scheduled around each team’s availability, and Level 3 starts in early 2027.
